SIR drive: EC extends roll revision deadline in 6 states; no extension for Bengal

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission connected Thursday issued a revised Special Intensive Revision (SIR) docket for Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, MP, Chhattisgarh, UP and Andaman and Nicobar Islands pursuing requests from CEOs.

In the earlier revised schedule, the Enumeration Period for these 6 States/UT was till December 11 and the earlier day of work of the draught Electoral Rolls was December 16.
