SRINAGAR: A tribunal successful Kashmir has dismissed an exertion by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking to adhd charges against National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah and others successful the Jammu & Kashmir cricket relation (JKCA) scam case.

The tribunal said ED cannot beryllium made enactment to a lawsuit that has already been investigated, filed, and prosecuted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).However, the tribunal said determination is prima facie grounds against the accused, including Abdullah, and observed that “the indispensable ingredients of offences nether Sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 409 of the Ranbir Penal Code are made out” and the accused volition beryllium charged accordingly.

The tribunal listed the lawsuit for March 12, 2026, for framing of charges.In 2018, CBI chargesheeted Abdullah and others for allegedly siphoning disconnected Rs 43 crore from grants provided by the Board of Control for Cricket successful India to JKCA. CBI alleged the funds were misappropriated betwixt 2002 and 2011 erstwhile Abdullah was the president of JKCA.In its chargesheet, CBI named Abdullah, past JKCA wide caput Mohammad Saleem Khan, erstwhile treasurer Ahsan Ahmad Mirza and J&K Bank enforcement Bashir Ahmad Misgar.
